Katchmark Construction, Inc. installs and repairs all types of roofs,
from flat to steep, with materials including Asphalt Shingles, Cedar Shakes,

Our GAF 5-Part Roof System:
Our 5-Part Roof System is an important way that Katchmark Construction
stands out from other companies.
- Ice and Water Leak Barrier: Most companies
offer ice and water barriers as an option. However, it is extremely important
to have an ice and water barrier to protect from ice damming in the winter.
It is our standard practice to install the Weather Watch Ice and Water
Barrier. Weather Watch is the ultimate Leak Barrier! We apply Weather
Watch to provide extra protection at vulnerable areas like eaves, valleys,
and anywhere the pitch changes. We also apply Weather Watch around chimneys,
skylights and any other major roof penetrations to provide ultimate
protection from snow and ice.
- 30 Pound Felt: We install 30 lb felt, whereas most
other companies install only 15 lb. felt. This provides more protection
than 15 lb felt and lays flatter for a better looking roof.
- Quality Shingles: We only install shingles that
have been rated for quality from large, well-known manufacturers who
offer standard warranties.
- Effective Attic Ventilation: Poor attic ventilation
can ruin your insulation and can impact the longevity of your entire
home. We install the proper ventilation products, customized to your
specific home, which will allow for a continual flow of outside air
through the attic, protecting the efficiency of the insulation and helping
to lower temperatures in the living space. Our attic vents are cut all
the way across the ridge of your roof for enhanced performance and appearance.
They are protected with thick mesh sheathing which allows ventilation
yet protects from insects and rodents.
- Distinctive Ridge Cap Shingles: Most companies will
install aluminum ridge vents without any Ridge Cap shingles. We feel
that the piece of aluminum looks cheap and unsightly. All of our ridge
vents are covered with Ridge Cap shingles for a more uniform look that
will perfect your roof’s appearance while providing additional
leak protection.
